International day for Preservation of Ozone layer, 16th Sept 2005

The International Day for preservation for Ozone layer was celebrated on 16 th September 2005 at Cambridge School, Kandivali (East). The importance of Ozone layer and depletion in the Ozone cover was exhibited in the school through Posters. There was also interactive session involving the school childrens who had asked various questions on the Ozone depletion. Several questions were asked during the interactive sessions, which were responded to by the Officers of MPCB, who were present at the function. This programme was jointly organized by MPCB and Cambridge School. The programme had generated lot of interests among the students and teachers of the school and has helped create awareness among them on the importance of Ozone layer on the Earth. After the programme a street play depicting the importance of reducing the use of plastic was also held at the school to create awareness among the childrens about ill effects of plastic bags, etc.
