Recently M.P.C. Board celebrated World Environment Day, 5th June, 2007 at Navi Mumbai Sport Club, Vashi. The said programme was celebrated in presence of Hon’ble Minister of Environment, Shri Ganesh Naik, as a Chief Guest. Hon’ble Environment Minister stated the necessity of the participation of a society to develop pollution free environment and he also planned to pollution free Maharashtra 2009. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board motted the concept of running an umbrella programme of infrastructure developing for the entire State. The special purpose vehicle (common environmental infrastructure) will catalyzed large flow of resources into the environmental sector through introduction of efficient and innovative financial instrument by public, private partnership and enhance the capacity building. Every corporate must have environment protection as a corporate responsibility and should make genuine efforts to make it feasible stated Shri Ganesh Naik. On the occasion of this programme conducted prize distribution to the winners of Poster/Painting Competition 2006. The Member Secretary of M.P.C. Board delivered speech on globle warming. On this occasion N.A. Lentin memorial lecture delivered by Shri B.G. Bukkewar and Shri Vishwanath Davari delivered his good thoughts on water and environment subject through in his kirtan musical performance.
