Visit of Delegates from OSAKA City, Japan regarding Policy Dialogue towards Decarbonized Society between Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and OSAKA City Government
- Today the meeting was organized with the delegates of OSAKA City, Japan and MPC Board at Mumbai regarding Policy Dialogue towards Decarbonized Society. The meeting was Chaired by Dr. Avinash Dhakne, IAS, MPC Board, Mumbai, Dr. Vidyanand Motghare, Joint Director, APC and Shri. KAWABE Shunsuke, Osaka City Government Environment Bureau, Osaka City, Japan and other delegates from OSAKA City Environment Cell.
- The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and the Environment Bureau of OSAKA City Government, both entities affirmed the importance of action towards the implementation of International Environmental Agreements including the Paris Agreement, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Osaka Blue Ocean Vision.
- The collaboration between the delegations will be towards the Improvement of Environment Conservation and Decarbonized Society in the transport and logistics sectors, as represented by initiatives such as promoting the energy sector and electric vehicles in Maharashtra State, both entities will make efforts to promote cooperation amicably for the following:
- Knowledge sharing on standards and systems supporting the environmental conservation and energy policies of Maharashtra State.
- Sharing professional skills and knowledge in order to smoothly implement measures, research and assessment of environmental impact.
- Promoting public-private partnership projects in the field of environmental conservation and energy and Promotion of capacity building development for steady progress towards the implementation of environmental conservation and energy policies of Maharashtra State.
