Information
regarding implementation of Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling)
Rules, 1998 in the State of Maharashtra |
The Board has initiated special
actions against the hospitals, clinics & institutions generating
bio-medical waste and not joined common Bio-Medical Waste Processing
facility in the nearby area. The Regional Officers and the Sub-Regional
Officers have carried out extensive surveys and issued prosecution
notices to the institutions generating bio-medical waste, but not
joined common bio-medical waste treatment & disposal facilities.
